The Karkaris of Niger undertake a humanitarian action in Kabawa

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
و الصلاة و السلام على أشرف المرسلين
و على اله و اصحابه أجمعين

The initiatives of the disciples of the Karkariya Sufi Order, scattered almost everywhere in the world, have continued tirelessly in recent times, notably on the African scene. Our African continent has seen, from the African Karkaris, charitable contributions in several fields: cultural, social, environmental development, healthcare, self-financing, education…

This week it was the turn of Maradi in southern Niger, more precisely the village of Kabawa, where the Karkari disciples of Niger carried out a project for the benefit of the needy inhabitants of this village.

We all know that in sub-Saharan Africa the search for water is a real obstacle course. This well will allow the villagers to have healthy, clean water, since the initiative is also part of the fight against diseases transmitted to humans and animals by water, such as typhoid, cholera, gastroenteritis and hepatitis. This goes hand in hand with the Islamic duty to preserve human life. This humanitarian action also has a national dimension and contributes to the revival of the values of tolerance, in that it brought together around it the inhabitants of the village who have different religious practices. This charitable action, carried out on the initiative of the Karkariya Sufi Order, will further foster group cohesion and the bond of coexistence within this village.

This kind of action carried out almost everywhere in Africa by local Karkaris always has the same educational wager: to bring out the tangible and realistic imprint that self-reform can have on everyone’s personal environment.

At the end of this memorable event, the villagers of Kabawa wished to express all their gratitude through the official letter of thanks addressed by His Excellency, Mr Ibrahim Massaoudoun. He wished to thank our master Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, may Allah sanctify his secret, for his living human conscience and his deeply rooted and effective educational role among his disciples, by urging them to do good and to spread the values of love, tolerance and doing good to others in the pursuit of building a just and good society, within themselves and for society.

A message honoured by the Karkariya Sufi Order as a Moroccan Sufi religious association that operates in accordance with the royal policy of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, in this field, namely to educate the individual in the values of citizenship and the sacred values of the true Islamic religion, which allow every traveller on the path to know spiritual elevation, once he adopts love as the way to know the divine.
