Sidi Shaykh in Paris (March 2019)

On Sunday 3 March 2019, the day after the Meeting in Light, Sidi Shaykh devoted the afternoon and evening to two gatherings: one for the women and one for the men. And that is not all, for throughout the week that followed the event, Sayyiduna Shaykh accepted various dinner invitations from the disciples (in Paris as well as in Brussels) and took the time to visit several monuments in Paris, notably the Arc de Triomphe and the Opéra Garnier.

In this article we offer a summary of the Shaykh’s stay from his arrival in Paris. Find at the bottom of the page two albums with all the photos.

It was the day after the meeting that the disciples were invited to Mehdi’s apartment for a short question-and-answer gathering with the Shaykh. Attached are the videos, in French, of the answers given to the women.

Throughout the week, Sidi Shaykh was the guest of honour at the homes of several disciples of the Path. In Paris, at brother Aissam’s, then sister Malika’s, then brother Abdelkhabir’s, as well as in Brussels, at the homes of the disciples Karim and Christine, and at Jamil’s.

Abdelkhabir, his children, and his father and brother. A great surprise during this dinner: the wife of our host, Abdelkhabir, took advantage of the Shaykh’s presence to commit herself fully to the Path.

After leaving Paris, the Shaykh went up to Brussels and settled in for a meal at the apartment of Karim and his wife, Christine. Finally, the next day, not far from there, he lunched at Jamil’s.

Others were privileged during this stay, but this time they were not of human nature. The Eiffel Tower was honoured, as well as the Arc de Triomphe, on which Sidi Shaykh went up high, with a magnificent view over the Champs-Élysées. Then came the turn of the Opéra Garnier and of the Aquarium de Paris to be visited by the Shaykh. He closed his visits with the Grand-Place of Brussels before returning to Morocco.
