The Shaykh's visit to Europe – Dreux (31/03/2017)

Having left Lille for Dreux, Shaykh Sidi Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari (may Allah sanctify his secret) stopped in Paris for the Friday prayer at the Grand Mosque of Paris, where he prayed as he had done on a previous visit. It is the same mosque in which Shaykh Ahmad al-Alawi (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a khutba (sermon) and led a prayer. It was a powerful moment, so charged is the mosque with history and symbolism. It was also an essential building for the recognition of Islam in France.
Having fulfilled his religious duty, Sidi Shaykh took public transport (RER C) to go to the Jardin des Plantes.
Meanwhile, the disciples in Dreux talked with the religious leaders of the church of Saint-Pierre.
In the early evening, the Shaykh arrived in Dreux at the home of a disciple. The welcome in pictures:
And then the majma‘ began. A majma‘ made up (as usual) of the recitation of the Qur’an, dhikr, the chanting of poems, the hadra and invocations for the guidance of all of France towards the Divine Light.
