Closing of Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari's visit to Geneva

A few weeks after taking part in the event “A Voice for Peace”, where he was among the main speakers, Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari was back in Switzerland to lead a spiritual gathering in Geneva.
The meeting began in the afternoon with a question-and-answer session, offering an open space for exchange on the themes of faith, spirituality and the inner journey. The discussion continued until the Maghrib prayer.
After the prayer, the participants gathered around the spiritual practices of the path: recitation of the wird, hadra and dhikr, before sharing a meal in a convivial atmosphere.

The evening was marked by a powerful moment: three people chose to enter Islam on this occasion. The first, Manour, is a Swiss woman born into a Christian family. She was followed by Grégory, also Swiss, then by Léna, a Parisian who had come specially to take advantage of the Shaykh’s presence to pronounce her declaration of faith publicly. A former Christian, Léna not only accepted Islam but also decided to commit herself to the Shaykh’s spiritual path by taking the bay‘a (spiritual pledge) with him.
Two women in all took the bay‘a that evening, bearing witness to a deep personal journey and a strong bond with the Shaykh’s teaching.
This spiritual gathering in Geneva continues a commitment to dialogue, transmission and openness, in a peaceful and sincere setting.
