Malagasy Karkaris build a well in Tsianaloka

Barely a few days after celebrating the birthday of Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, another event has brought joy to the inhabitants of Tsianaloka, a village belonging to Toliara, the largest city in the south of Madagascar.

The Malagasy Karkari disciples have indeed succeeded in building an important well for the community of this locality. The people who benefited from it expressed all their gratitude to the Karkariya Sufi Order, to its disciples and to Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, who have thus put an end to the hardship of the people of Tsianaloka, who used to walk long distances to get drinking water.

The chief of this village did not let the occasion pass without addressing to Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari a letter of recognition and thanks for the humanitarian and charitable actions undertaken by his Zawiya and his disciples. The letter of thanks stressed in particular the nature of the spiritual education that the Karkariya Sufi Order instils in its disciples, of which love of one’s neighbour and helping the needy are indisputable foundations.
