Ivorian Karkaris dig a drinking-water well in Tehiri

In a hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet, may Allah’s prayer and peace be upon him, said: “There is no one who digs a well from which a living being drinks, whether jinn, human or bird, without Allah rewarding him on the Day of Judgement.”

And it is in accordance with the teachings of the Messenger of Allah that the Ivorian Karkari disciples inaugurated a drinking-water well in the locality of Tehiri, some 300 km from the Ivorian capital, Abidjan.

This humanitarian action, initiated in perfect coordination with the Mother Zawiya in El Aroui, Morocco, brought joy to the inhabitants of this locality, for whom such an event means the end of the ordeal of searching for drinking water in distant wells, with the frequent consequences and risks that follow.

The joy that the Karkari disciples shared with the inhabitants of Tehiri made them forget a little the pain and sadness experienced in Anyama, which on 18 June last suffered a landslide following the heavy rain that fell on the municipality. Torrential rains buried some twenty houses and displaced several families.

As a reminder, in coordination with the Mother Zawya in Morocco, the Ivorian Karkari disciples had undertaken there a humanitarian initiative for the families affected, who received several donations of basic necessities: survival kits; mattresses, bedspreads; foodstuffs; gas cylinders; and so on.

As usual during this kind of action carried out by the Karkari disciples almost everywhere in the world, the inhabitants of Tehiri wished to express their gratitude to Shaykh Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, may Allah sanctify his secret, for “the importance of his spiritual education based on the main values of Islam such as brotherhood and mutual aid, which bear fruit on the ground through such actions”.
