The Shaykh’s visit to Venice (2019)

On Wednesday afternoon, Sidi Shaykh and the fuqara set out for Venice, a journey of about 7 hours. A layer of snow still lay on the mountainous Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The Shaykh’s trip to Venice coincided with the carnival, one of the high points of the City on the Water.

One does not leave Venice without having crossed the city by gondola.

At the zawiya in Morocco, Sidi Shaykh already kept a shelter for every kind of bird. They invited themselves to the table at lunch in a pizzeria.

Travelling does not exempt Muslims from performing their prayers.
