Eid al-Adha 2015 at the Karkariya zawiya

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

و الصلاة و السلام على أشرف المرسلين
و على اله و اصحابه أجمعين

On behalf of the shaykh of the Karkariya Sufi Order, Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari (may God sanctify his secret), we wish you a blessed feast of sacrifice. May Allah accept the deeds of the Ummah.

For Eid al-Adha, we offer a few photos to illustrate how this feast day unfolded at the zawiya.

As the prophetic tradition requires, after the prayer and the greetings came the sacrifice of the animal. Sidi Amin had the honour of performing the sacrifice of the sheep, helped by Sidi Shaykh and Sidi Said for the skinning. The custom in Morocco is that the liver is eaten first, and the meat on the following days (since it needs to rest for a day to be fit for consumption).

When the sacrifice was over, the Shaykh gathered his disciples and his children for breakfast.
