This time it is in the second most populous country on the planet that the Karkari disciples acted: India. And it was precisely in Ajmer, a small city in Rajasthan of some 600,000 inhabitants, that the local Karkaris distributed bags of foodstuffs to needy families and individuals. As almost everywhere in this vast country, Ajmer has a very high poverty rate.

This charitable and humanitarian action, carried out in perfect coordination with the Mother Zawiya in Morocco, was quite special. This time the Karkari disciples of India carried out their operation with the cooperation of the Moinuddin Foundation, in the presence of its founding President Syed Ambar Chishty, representative of the 17th generation of Shaykh Hazrat Mu‘in-ud-Din Chishti, one of the most famous Sufis in India and the founder of the Chishtiyya.

On this occasion, Syed Ambar Chishty expressed, in a letter addressed to the Shaykh of the Karkariya Sufi Order, Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, his deepest thanks for this humanitarian gesture and this charitable action undertaken by the Indian Karkari disciples for the needy of the city of Ajmer. He also invited Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari to honour him with a visit to his home in Ajmer. “We greatly need your advice and your blessings, and we are very honoured to serve you and the disciples of your Zawiya,” he concluded in his letter.
