The journey of Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari, may Allah sanctify his secret, in France thus comes to an end, with no fewer than five meetings organised across the Hexagon: Lille, Paris, Lyon, Montauban and Bordeaux. Six conversions to Islam, around ten pledges given, not counting those who asked for the bay‘a but will only receive it after a trip to the zawiya in Morocco. A clearly positive outcome.

But before closing this chapter, let us go back quickly, in pictures and videos, over the Shaykh’s short stay in Bordeaux.

Sidi Shaykh arrived in Bordeaux on the evening of Friday 3 January 2020 to visit his disciples, but also to take part in a meeting organised for the next day, Saturday 4 January.

On the evening of his arrival, a small dhikr gathering was improvised with the local disciples and those who had followed him.

The khidma (service) on the path, a subject Sidi Shaykh mentioned many times at the zawiya in Lyon.

Opening of the meeting with the sunset prayer (maghrib). Many visitors came to see Sidi Shaykh. The disciple Mahdi from Paris gave the call to prayer.

It is almost becoming a habit now, since for this first visit and meeting of the Shaykh in Bordeaux, no fewer than three people embraced Islam, which clearly marks the success of the event. Welcome to Islam, Clara, Alexandre and Julian.

Chanted poems and Sufi dance enlivened the end of the evening. The first hadra in Bordeaux with the Shaykh, which is worth mentioning.

The next day he left France for Morocco from Bordeaux airport. A moment of emotion: Sidi Shaykh took the time to take each disciple in his arms to say goodbye.
