Conversion of a Frenchman at the Karkariya Zawiya

(For French speakers, subtitles can be activated at the bottom right of the screen)
Our brother also wished to share with us these few words:
Iliass (Elie)
Jean Michel is my birth name; by changing it I closed the doors of my past.
My trip to Morocco (Mount Aroui) was for me a radical change, with the knowledge of Sidi Shaykh Mohammed Fawzi. It has been barely three months that I have devoted myself to Allah; the more I read about Islam the more I am interested in learning and above all understanding; the sensations I feel when I pray are moving and at the same time soothing. The Qur’an is a guide that I recommend to all those who are still in the dark; it (the Qur’an) will warm your heart and you will surely find yourself in certain surahs as I did.
I was ignorant, corrupt, astray; at last relieved to feel emotions, overwhelmed to finally know the truth, stronger in my faith, proud to be a Muslim.
Today I think at every moment of the day about doing good, God willing; the daily trials no longer frighten me, especially here in France (family, friends, etc. who do not understand); Allah is there to guide me.
Every time I ask myself a question or feel alone, I find the solution or comfort by opening the Qur’an. I am very happy now.
I have more confidence in myself and pay more attention to others (unbelievers). Allah knows everything and sees everything; I hope He has forgiven my mistakes. I made a pact with Sidi Shaykh Mohammed Fawzi and fully intend to keep it and to commit myself to uprightness. It is thanks to him that I am bearing witness to you of my well-being. The day I pronounced the Shahada I reset my counters to zero.
I still have a lot to learn and stages to cross; the path to Allah is still long but so beautiful, and I hope to deserve to be at His side on the Day of Judgement and to know at last the real life. Allah is good.
Non-believers hate death; the Prophet said: the believers are happy to go to Paradise, the disbelievers will go to Hell.
When the angel of death comes for me it will be Allah who has decided it, and I hope I will have deserved it.
There is only one God, Allah, no partner; Muhammad is His prophet, just like Jesus, Jacob, Elijah and many others. Read the Qur’an, love Allah.
To finish, I would like to thank all my brothers and sisters, the Rabati family and all its friends, the family of Sidi Shaykh Mohammed Fawzi and all the others; you played a great part in my conversion and in my life…. I thank my sister Myriam enormously (te quiero mucho)
A big thank you to Suhayl Al Karkari
