Conversion and entry into the Karkariya Sufi Order of our sister Mariam

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم و الصلاة و السلام على أشرف المرسلين و على اله و اصحابه أجمعين It was already a few months ago that our sister Mariam chose to convert and to taste the Lights of Islam… and Allah willed that a few weeks after her conversion she should taste the Lights of Iman. She briefly testifies to this journey and to her vision of the Light after taking the bay‘a with our Shaykh Sidi Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari (qaddasa Allahu sirrahu)… Our sister also wished to share with us these few words: Meriam

My birth name is Ascension.

My trip to Morocco was a test for me, meeting Sidi Mohammed Fawzi. For three months now I have devoted myself to my five daily prayers and recite the wird; why can’t I manage to keep them in my head?

When I have a moment in the day I lie on my bed or sit and pray, I close my eyes and wait. At the beginning, when I met Sidi Shaykh, this great gentleman with whom I made a pact, with my eyes closed in that dark room, I perceived a white dot that looked like a star. I was happy, at last!!!

In the following days, taking up the Qur’an, in certain passages I found myself, and I said to myself: how is it possible, it is as if I had already lived this.

Allah is great, mashallah.

One evening I close my eyes and I see a great light. It was magical: in the middle, on the right side of the wall, a lamp shining, the lamp in a crystal vase, and in this vase I see a shining star, and at the tips of the branches of this olive tree that comes from nowhere, I see this oil so luminous; it lit up without any fire touching it.

Light upon light; Allah guides me to His light.

God knows me perfectly; love Allah from the depths of my heart and invoke His name morning and evening; the more one prays, the more one sees the light.

Allah holds the whole universe; He knows everything about us.

At the beginning, while doing the spiritual dance with Kawtar and my other sisters, with my eyes closed, I saw light; I also invoked Allah, I felt well, He enters my heart.

Everything I possess, it is Allah who gives it to me. Allah is just, good, and gives me the strength and courage to go forward in life; sometimes I have openings.

The Qur’an was sent down by Allah to guide us to the straight path. Read the Qur’an and love Allah; we are only passing through here, and do not compare what awaits us with Allah if we have been wise.
