The Shaykh’s visit to Lyon (February 2019)

On 24 February 2019, the fuqara from all over France received Sidi Shaykh on European soil, at Lyon airport. Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi Al Karkari (may Allah sanctify his secret) travels regularly to visit his disciples and take part in events. The first stop of this journey was the zawiya of Condrieu (an hour from Lyon).

He stayed there for almost a week and devoted the evening of 25 February to a dhikr gathering open to all. The afternoon was used for a dhikr gathering with the women.

And the evening was reserved for the men. The programme: recitation of the Qur’an and group dhikr, together with a question-and-answer session.

At the inauguration of the zawiya of Condrieu in November 2018, Sidi Shaykh did not find time to discover the magnificent landscape surrounding this place of dhikr and pious gathering.

So every morning, in the company of the disciples, he undertook a walk of several kilometres (sometimes up to 7 km), taking care to find a new place each day. These were activities during which the disciples could share more intimate moments with the Shaykh.

Visit to a farm and cheese tasting.

On Wednesday, a few disciples and Sidi Shaykh took the road to Italy, to the city of Venice. On the way back, before setting out for Paris (to take part in the event, Meeting in Light), a few photos against a pretty panorama.

Finally, before the end of the journey in the Gaulish capital, the neighbour (of Christian faith) of the zawiya, who appreciated the Tariqa and the Shaykh, invited everyone to come and visit her.

Here ends one stage of the journey. Wherever he walks, it is the Light that marks his steps, left behind for those who wish to follow the path of Allah and of His Messenger (peace and prayer be upon him).
