Visit to Moulay Ahmed ibn ʿAjiba

Visit to Moulay Ahmed ibn ‘Ajiba (quddisa sirruhu)

Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari (may Allah sanctify his secret), accompanied by fuqara from France and Australia, took advantage of the visit to Moulay Abd as-Salam ibn Mashish (see: Visit to Mawlay Abd as-Salam ibn Mashish – may Allah sanctify his secret) to pay a visit as well to Sidi Ahmad ibn ‘Ajiba.
The tomb of Moulay Ahmad ibn ‘Ajiba stands high in the mountains, near the city of Tetouan in northern Morocco.
It is a sparsely inhabited region; only the people who still wear the traditional dress of the Moroccan Rif subsist there, selling a few local products to day tourists…

On the right, our brother Sidi Abu ‘Ali from Australia, who originally came to learn the Ruqya (see: A Karkari murid from Australia)

On our arrival we found the place closed. Visits are not very frequent, although the locals sometimes go there to read his book.
Since he speaks in his works of the sirr, it behoves the Murid to have gained access to it too, in order to draw all the fruits this book holds and to become, for a moment, an heir of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the only inheritance he has passed on to us.
So we waited for the guardian to open the door of the place for us, which is, by the way, very well kept.

And for a long time we waited for the return of the faqir sent in search of a sign of life…!

…So we took advantage of this moment to take a few photos in order to leave small traces of our passage…
We hope to mark our hearts with these people who have received Allah’s approval, the proof being that Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari (may Allah sanctify his secret) pays them a visit…

Photo taken right next to the tomb.
..There are other dead buried in the surroundings…

With complete simplicity Sidi Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi (may Allah sanctify his secret) does not move, while he is photographed from every angle

Facing the tomb itself, the same procedure: invocation of our Diwan and Surat Ya Sin.
Our Shaykh often says: “With us, everything is on the table and everything is clear according to the Qur’an and the sunna.” Only the interpretation one gives can be open to criticism, but that is what makes us Karkaris and the others not Karkaris!
…A last moment in this place before leaving, Sidi Shaykh (may Allah sanctify his secret) always ready to meet our slightest demand for photos for the needs of the article…
